SuperTuscans Wine Tour (Bolgheri Area)

Limousine Service with English speaking driver for a wine tour in Tuscany (Bolgheri area).

The area of Bolgheri is well known throughout the world for the excellent quality of the Super Tuscans which they produce, but also for its landscapes and cultural tradition of outstanding value and quality. The first winery is hidden among the avenues of cypress trees which run along the sweet hills, and spectacular views and panorama of the Tyrrhenian sea. You will be greeted by staff who will be happy to show you the vineyards and the winemaking area, adding to this a wine tasting and information about the wines and the methods they adopt. You will reach the delightful and charming villages of Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri, where you can visit the historical centre with its medieval castle, and treat yourself to a delicious lunch, while enjoying a wonderful view of the vineyards. To end the tour we may stop off at another winery for a visit, or even just a wine tasting, to end a beautiful day and a fantastic experience in this enchanting part of Tuscany.

Duration: approximately 9/10 hours

It is possible for the tour to leave from locations in Tuscany and Umbria, within the areas in which we operate (click here to view map) and, based on logistics, the specific programme can be modified.

We ask you to contact us for more details regarding the itinerary, wineries visited and costs.

Bolgheri DOC: The first bottle of Sassicaia was produced in 1968, when in 1944 instead, the Marquis Incisa decided to plant the first Cabernet vineyard, realising the great potential of the territory. The production is restricted to the northern part of the Maremma, in the area of Bolgheri and Castagneto Carducci. The minimum alcoholic strength is 12.5%, and it is produced with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Sangiovese in different percentages. With an intense ruby red colour and a rich aroma, it has a dry and harmonious taste, it goes well with red meats, aged cheeses, mushrooms and truffles. It is also a great meditation wine.
